We provide the component engineering services to our supplier clients. Typically these services are used to interface with the design engineers who may require the following services:
- Seek technical clarifications on the various parts and components
- Need help in overcoming technical issues in their designs
- Ask for help in finding out alternate parts or substitutes to meet specified parameters
- Solicit help in building their Bill Of Materials (BOM)
We have extended such services to number of supplier clients who need to follow up with their deign engineers to find out if the samples sent out by them have been designed in by the design engineers, or they require any assistance, of the type listed above.
A number of our supplier clients ask us to collect market data about their parts from the design engineers. Such data relates to the feedback of the design engineers on aspects like the following:
- Assessment of the key attributes of the products in comparison with the products of the competitors
- Reasons for the ‘Designed-In’ or otherwise of the product
- Prevailing/perceived processes and practices of the suppliers company and their company image etc.
