BEGANTO JOINS EDS PANEL ON GETTING PAID FOR DEMAND CREATION
Among the experts recruited by Bruce Rayner, editorial director of Electronics Supply & Manufacturing Magazine and convener and moderator of the panel, is Sunil Grover, CEO of Beganto, Inc. and developer of a software application and tracking system that offers a solution to a problem that has been plaguing the industry especially as the migration of production to China has escalated. Expected to join Rayner and Grover are supplier Ken Sykes, senior vice president, Rohm Electronics, distributor Bruce Goldberg, All-American Semiconductor, and representative Mark Conley, president, O'Donnell Assoc. North, Inc.
Panelists will discuss the challenges, strategies and best practices for managing demand creation and ensuring that design wins are recognized and all parties are compensated. They will share the latest and best business processes and IT requirements for managing demand creation with their EDS audience. The program is scheduled for 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, May 3rd, at the Paris Hotel.
In addition to his role on the panel, Grover will also use EDS as a launch pad for the final phase of Beganto's on-line product suite. "The middle pieces have been in place for several years, "Grover says, "but 2006 has seen the launch of our unique component search product, where the process begins; and now the formal introduction of Global Tracker, at the other end of the supply chain."
This brings the supply chain its first start-to-finish platform for keeping track of components, from the point of design, through the point of purchasing, all the way to the point of manufacture. Beganto will host a supplier focus group at EDS, and will also provide demonstrations and training in its exhibit in Booths 4907-09.
EDS, the Electronic Distribution Show and Conference, is a global gathering of industry decision makers, held annually in Las Vegas, and attracting executive top leadership from prominent companies throughout the supply chain. Other "big names" appearing on EDS panels arranged by Bruce Rayner are:
- Roy Vallee, CEO, Avnet
- Dave Clark, VP Materials & Supply Chain, Plexus
- Steve Linton, World-Wide Sales Director of Electronic Manufacturing Services and Latin America Sales, Texas Instruments
- Paul Tallentire, President, NewarkinOne
- Glenn Bassett, VP Strategic Business Development, Avnet
- Mark Warner, Director Product Management NAC, Arrow Electronics
- Adrian Melnyk, VP and general manager, CDC America, FCI
- Amy Wang, VP, China Outlook
Their topics will include environmental compliance as RoHS comes into full effect, coping with the challenges of globalization, the state of the industry, and especially distribution, in China , and more.
