Introduction
Magnetic Sensors are used as Hall Effect devices. These are temperature-compensated magnetic field sensing devices.
Magnetic sensors are usually classified according to their range i.e. low-, medium-, and high-field sensing range. These devices are used for medical applications and military surveillance.
Type
- SQUID : These are in a range of more than 15 orders of magnitude
- Search-Coil : these sensors are based on Faraday's law of induction
- Other Low-Field Sensors: Other low-field sensor technologies include nuclear precession, optically pumped, and fiber-optic magnetometers.
