Power Supply ICs
Series Regulators
Used after AC/DC converters and elsewhere, this is a direct current stabilizing circuit. Only a few external components are used in it, and desired voltages can be generated easily. It has superior noise characteristics as compared to an SW power supply.

Shunt Regulators
Widely used for SW power supply feedback circuits and other purposes, this is a standard reference voltage supply. It has superior voltage accuracy because it controls voltage as an IC, as compared to a zener diode which is a discrete product.
Switching Regulator Controller
Used to control AC/DC and DC/DC converters, this is a control IC for switching power supplies. it has superior efficiency characteristics, as compared to a series regulator.
Operational Amplifier
For the realization of analog circuits, operational amplifier and comparators are essential products. A product lineup which enables customers to choose the optimal products for their needs is offered by NEC Electronics. These are single power supply operational amplifiers which can be operated by a single power supply, comparators, low-noise operational amplifiers suited for audio purposes, high-speed response J-FET input operational amplifiers, and so on.
