Masami Yamamoto, Co-Founder and Chairman
Yamamoto is a leading angel investor in Silicon Valley , with over 30 years of strategic business development and operational expertise. His focus is strategic partnerships in the electronics and IT industries in the US and Japanese markets. His early-stage investments and advisory engagements have included Navigation Technologies (NVT:NYSE), the core technology used for Yahoo and MSN maps; InterVideo (IVII:NASDAQ), the maker of the WinDVD series of software; Junglee, which was acquired by Amazon; and Paypal, which was acquired by eBay.

As co-founder of Beganto, Yamamoto brings his successful insights in Internet business models, long-term relationships in the electronic component industry, and extensive expertise in sales management to Beganto's day-to-day operations.

Sunil Grover, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Grover co-founded Beganto with the vision of solving two core problems in the electronic components industry.

  1. First, making it easy for engineers to efficiently find board level components using the Internet.
  2. Second, providing an effective way for suppliers to track communications with customers from an initial sample request to the point of volume shipping.

Grover brings Beganto financial, technical, and operations experience from Morgan Stanley, MEMC Electronic Materials, Inc. and Asia-Links. Prior to founding Beganto, he founded and led the eMarketplace division of Asia-Links, the first US/Asia multi-lingual marketplace for electronic components, with over 2,000 member companies. Earlier he was an investment banker with Morgan Stanley, overseeing initial public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and financial restructuring engagements. At MEMC, Grover got a first-hand look into the electronics components industry, working as a semiconductor engineer. He has a B. Tech. from IIT - Mumbai, an MS from Washington University , and an MBA from the University of Chicago .

Dr. Lalit Kapur, Senior Executive Vice President and Managing Director, India
Dr. Kapur has extensive software engineering and operations leadership experience. Before joining Beganto, he held positions as President or Chief Operating Officer for engineering outsourcing companies, including SDI Tech, Xansa and Mefcom, where he successfully led turn-around situations and managed highly profitable and motivated teams of over 200 individuals. His thirty-year career began at Tata Consultancy Services, where he was recognized as one of the fastest achievers in the organization. He has a B. Tech from IIT - New Delhi and an MBA and PhD in business administration from Kent State University .
